Welcome

One beautiful place, and nowhere else to be.

After all the lists and the planning, what we want is quite simple. The people we love, under one roof, from the ceremony in the afternoon through to the music late in the evening. Settle in, kick off your shoes, and stay a while.

Our Story

How two became us.

The quiet beginning, the years since, and the question that was never really in doubt. Ten photographs and the whole tale, worth a cup of tea.

The Venue

A fifteenth-century manor, in the Oxfordshire countryside.

We fell for Weston Manor because it feels right rather than grand. Full of character without being stiff, roomy without ever feeling cold, with house and gardens enough to move with the weather and the mood.

Everything happens in one place, so there's nothing to organise and nowhere to rush off to.

Stay with us

Wake up where the party was.

A room at Weston Manor for the night of the wedding, so the day can end with a short walk upstairs rather than a journey home. No taxi to chase, no early exit from the dance floor, and breakfast in the morning.

Rooms go first come, first served, so we'd gently say: claim yours early.

Getting here

Finding Weston Manor

Just outside Bicester, off the A34 and M40, and twenty minutes from Oxford. Parking on site, with directions and a few options for staying elsewhere.

Gifts

Your being there is the gift.

If you'd like to do something more, we're putting a little away towards our honeymoon, a proper escape in the sun once the dust has settled. Any amount, given below, is very welcome.

An adults-only celebration, so everyone can properly relax. Consider it a night off.

Our Story

How two became us

Claire & Mark  ·  the short version

Anchor 1 of 3
Anchor 2 of 3

Chapter one

How we met

It started the way the best things tend to, quietly and then all at once. [A line or two on where and how you met, and what drew you together.] Looking back, it's funny how ordinary the beginning felt for something that turned into all of this.

Anchor 3 of 3

Chapter two

The years since

A home, a hundred small routines, and more inside jokes than either of us could explain. [A few lines here on your life together, the things you love doing, the shape of the two of you as a pair.]

Chapter three

The proposal

Then, [when and roughly where], one of us finally asked, and the answer was never in doubt. [One detail that makes the moment yours. Keep it simple; the moment matters more than the staging.]

And now here we are.

By car, or by rail

Weston Manor sits just outside Bicester, an easy run by car with good access from the A34 and M40. For sat navs, the postcode is OX25 3QL.

Make a weekend of it

While you're here

Oxford is around twenty minutes away, worth a wander for the colleges, the museums and a riverside pub or two. Bicester Village is close for anyone who fancies the shops. And there are lovely country walks and pubs right on the doorstep if you'd rather take it slowly.

Questions, answered

Everything you might want to ask, in one place

The day itself

What time should I arrive?

Any time from 1:00pm. The ceremony begins at 2:00pm, so there's no need to be prompt to the minute, just with us in good time to park, find a seat and settle in before we start.

Is there a dress code?

Dress up with us, nothing too stiff. Our colours are green, stone, brass and a touch of claret if you'd like a nudge, though there's no need to match us. One tip: there's grass and gravel in the gardens, so a kinder heel beats a fine stiletto.

Can I take photographs?

During the ceremony, we'd love you fully with us, so phones and cameras away for that part. Our photographer will capture it all. After that, snap away, and please share what you get.

What time does the day end?

The party runs until midnight, when carriages are called.

Guests

Can I bring my children?

As much as we adore your children, we've decided to keep the day an adults-only celebration, so everyone, parents included, can properly relax. Consider it a well-earned night off.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Your invitation will say who's included. If you're at all unsure, just ask us and we'll happily clear it up.

Travel & staying over

Where should I stay?

Stay at Weston Manor if you can. It's by far the easiest, with the celebration on your doorstep and breakfast in the morning. We've held rooms for our guests, first come first served, so book early to be sure of one. How to book, and a few nearby alternatives, are on the Stay & Travel page.

Is there parking?

Yes, there's parking on site. If you're staying over, leave the car with us and collect it the next day.

How do I get back in the evening?

If you're not staying at the venue, book a taxi in advance, as they can be hard to come by late at night in the countryside.

Practical

I have a dietary requirement. Who do I tell?

Just let us know when you RSVP and we'll sort it out with the venue.

Do you have a gift list?

No list. Your company really is more than enough. If you'd like to give something, we're gathering a little towards our honeymoon, with a link on the home page.

I've still got a question.

Ask us directly, we're always happy to help. [Best contact to follow.]
